At the end of the civil conflict in Sierra Leone, many combatants were retrained in various professions. A large number of fighters from all factions chose to be re-trained as drivers. In Bo Town, ex-RUF rebels work as motorbike taxis whilst members of the Kamajor militia have formed their own "Drivers Union" to represent the drivers of larger vehicles. Great animosity exists between both factions.
