DESCRIPTION: The Prosecutor of the Special Court for Sierra Leone is David Crane, an American former Pentagon lawyer. Much has been made of Crane's background in the US Defence Intelligence Agency; indeed the Sierra Leonean press has implied that he remains a CIA spy. "I take my independence very seriously," asserts Crane. "I work for no one other than the people of Sierra Leone."
