DESCRIPTION: The Principal Defender and Head of the Defence Office at the Special Court for Sierra Leone is Simone Arrazi, a former New York attorney. Arrazi presides over the provision of duty counsel for indictees in the early stages of their defence and also acts as a co-ordinator for all the individual defence counsels representing the indictees at trial.
